The design concept begins with the idea of a school that becomes an urban settlement, a modular and repeatable one. The composition follows a linear sequential logic, articulated through “spatial joints”, areas with an iconic feature that are conveniently placed to create an orientation system that organises people-flows and activities within the school campus. Thereby, such spaces have been positioned in strategic areas, so to become true visual and social catalysts in the urban context. From the outside, the volumes reveal the different educational levels through the dynamic play of heights and proportions, scaled for the pupils. Colours and materials confer to the design proposal a playful appearance and give back a new image of educational architecture and landscape.
