Transition zone between plains and hills, the project shapes as the natural progression of the existing green infrastructure. The goal of the project is to reactivate a marginal portion of the metropolitan Bolognese landscape, envisaging the school as both an educational space and a Civic Center. Within this vision, the building is conceived as a harmonious progression of the hill upon which it stands, a volume defined by organic shapes that recalls the signature traits of the local architecture: the urban porches. In the “Caracci” campus, the typical rural villa evolves in an educational and modern space. Vegetable gardens extend the space of the classroom, reinforcing the strong relationship with nature. The design has been developed through BIM methodology, which allowed full control of the management process and the optimisation of construction duration and costs.
