The San Giacomo di Laives school campus is designed as a public space for the city. The formal composition of the building follows the main urban routes. The public space is the main feature of the design and elevates from the ground level to the roofing. Each volume has been built in wood, so are the envelopes. The frameworks of the facades enclose a number of different patterns, designed to best control solar light and heat. A site-specific architecture and, moreover, a design that highlights how integrated design through BIM technology is able to host and find solutions also for social-cultural topics.
