Cost Estimator - Architectural Department

What we ask

We are looking for a Cost Estimator who will be responsible for managing the economic estimation of projects and the drafting of tender documents, working closely with the integrated design team to ensure cost control and quantity precision.

The figure will ensure the correct economic evaluation of the works through the analysis of executive projects and specifications, ensuring constant monitoring of market prices and consistency between design choices and set budgets, in line with company standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyze executive projects and tender specifications, identifying technical specifications and the works necessary for economic estimation.
• Draft estimated bills of quantities, precisely defining quantities and applying the relative unit prices for each category of work.
• Manage the analysis and comparison of supplier offers, providing support in the evaluation of quotes and in the resolution of any economic inconsistencies.
• Ensure the continuous updating of company databases and price lists, monitoring the evolution of costs and regional and national price lists.
• Coordinate with the design team for the extraction of quantitative data from the models, ensuring consistency between the architectural project and the economic documentation.

Required Experience:

• Education: Diploma in Surveying (Geometra) or Degree in Architecture / Engineering.
• Experience: At least 1 year of previous experience in drafting estimated bills of quantities within professional studios or engineering companies.
• Excellent knowledge of the Italian language; good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken) is appreciated.
• Software: Excellent knowledge of cost estimation software (e.g., Primus, Excel) and good ability to navigate in CAD/BIM environments.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of the main price lists (DEI, Regional) and methodologies for measuring works.
• Attitudes: Maximum precision, reliability, and a strong ability to collaborate with various team leads.

Technical-Professional Skills:

• Technical analysis capacity: Ability to translate construction details from technical drawings and BIM models into precise and detailed estimate items.
• Economic flow management: Experience in structuring complex economic offers, including cost analysis and verification of compliance with administrative tender aspects.
• Methodological integration: Aptitude for optimizing Quantity Take-Off (QTO) processes, collaborating on the definition of workflows that effectively link BIM modeling to work accounting.
