Structural BIM Modeler

What we ask

We are looking for a Structural BIM Designer who will be responsible for supporting the technical development of structural projects through advanced information modeling, contributing to multidisciplinary integration in an environment oriented towards Integrated Design.

The figure will guarantee the accuracy of structural models and the resolution of technical interferences, applying innovative methodologies and Computational Design tools to optimize the design of complex buildings and the production of technical reports.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop 3D BIM models for structural design, managing complex geometries and ensuring the integrity of information data in the model.
• Collaborate on the design of buildings of various natures, supporting the structural team in defining efficient and innovative technical solutions.
• Manage interdisciplinary coordination, interfacing with other departments for the resolution of design criticalities and the consistency of the federated model.
• Create technical drawings and executive project plates, guaranteeing high quality of the graphic reports extracted from the information models.
• Implement Computational Design workflows, using visual programming tools for the automation of modeling and analysis processes.

Required Experience:

• Education: Degree in Engineering (Civil, Building, or similar).
• Experience: At least 6 months of work experience in design and BIM modeling activities.
• Software: Good knowledge of BIM software (Revit and Tekla) and the main technical drawing tools.
• Computational Design: Good knowledge of Grasshopper, Dynamo, and Rhino. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python) will be evaluated positively.
• Excellent knowledge of the Italian language; good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken) is appreciated.
• Attitudes: Precision, strong attention to detail, and a strong curiosity towards the research of innovative techniques and methodologies.

Technical-Professional Skills:

• Advanced Structural Modeling: Ability to manage complex models in steel and reinforced concrete, understanding the logic of structural behavior and their translation into a BIM environment.
• Interdisciplinary Problem Solving: Ability to manage technical coordination aimed at resolving interferences between the structural component and other project disciplines.
• Automation and Innovation: Ability to use parametric modeling tools to optimize workflows, reducing production times and improving the quality of design data.
