Description
The renovation project identifies the ancient nautical chantiers of Salerno as the focus elements of the entire harbour area.
A new urban hotspot is defined through the rearrangement of the infrastructures and the restoration of the existing constructions.
The proposal centers on the construction of a new touristic complex, a building with modern aesthetical and material features. The volume seeks a constant dialogue with the existing context, however it stands out because of the lightness and transparency of its large glass surfaces. Indoors, the restaurant and the gym suggest a new way of living, extending the view towards the docks, garden and pool.
