Design of Insiel’s new Data Center begins

The contract for the design of the new Insiel Data Center in Palmanova has been officially signed! Following the award of the tender, the design is entrusted to the international team composed of ATI Project (leader), Archest and Proyectos. In this first phase, the team will work on the development of the technical and economic feasibility project.

The new data center, which will be built on the Civil Protection campus in Palmanova, includes two completely separate buildings capable of functioning, if necessary, one in place of the other, guaranteeing absolute continuity of service. The new data center will be able to host all those mission critical services (such as the integrated hospital system, Sores, counter services) that require operational continuity but also the new services that are based on artificial intelligence applications.

The structure will comply with all the requirements set by the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) and the Ansi/Tia 942 standard that defines best practices and guidelines for the construction of this type of construction and could be a point of reference for Italian Public Administrations that need to guarantee high standards of security and scalability in the provision of services or the ability to manage an increase in workload or traffic without compromising performance.
