Expo 2020 pavilion

Description

‘’Beauty connects people’’, the theme of the Italian pavilion for Dubai Expo 2020, is here interpreted as the expression of the creative genius and cultural richness of our country.
Confident in the historical relationship between aesthetics and technique, the design proposal recalls the typological layout of the classic Italian courtyard and palace, which here encloses and treasures a symbolic central tree, metaphor of the centrality and beauty of nature. The exhibition itinerary develops around the courtyard and can be foreseen from the outside thanks to the void pattern in the facades. The envelope recalls traditional design themes, taking them to a new aesthetic and technological level, exploring contrasts in language and materials, where light and transparencies determine the order of space.
