A new chapter of growth and innovation begins with the construction works of the Volano Building at the Siena “Santa Maria alle Scotte” Hospital. Led in the final and executive design phases by ATI Project, this project marks a significant step towards the future of the healthcare facility.
The Volano Building, spanning an area of approximately 13,900 square meters across seven floors, serves as the starting point for the transformation of the hospital structure. Its implementation will initiate a gradual relocation phase involving wards, operating rooms, and diagnostic imaging services from the various departments undergoing renovation. The building will not only provide temporary spaces for the various departments undergoing renovation but will, upon completion, become a state-of-the-art hospital lot hosting some of the deemed essential functions. The goal is to create a dynamic, flexible structure ready to handle peak activities, especially in emergency situations.
