Description
The project of the new Lonate Ceppino School Complex responds to the need of a school that is a unique space in which the various environments are flexible and always active.
The lot of intervention, an area currently unbuilt, appears to be a strategic area in order to bring together two schools, elementary and middle, and spaces for the entire community within the Civic Center.
The functional distribution of the building therefore starts from the need to create independent but connected public and educational spaces. The new complex is characterized by an H-shaped layout with a central atrium from which the civic center and areas dedicated to teaching branch off. The classrooms and laboratories are all arranged along the perimeter of the building and face outward through large windows that favor natural lighting, and the integration of manoeuvrable walls allows the creation of flexible spaces ready to adapt to different educational needs.
The project, developed entirely in BIM, is conceived with the intention of creating a building that represents, both for students and for the community, a model of inclusivity and environmental sustainabiliy.
