The project for the new rugby field for the CUS in Pisa completes the University Sports Centre in Via del Brennero. The intervention hosts a regular rugby league pitch, apt for Serie C games, next to the existing basketball court. A great deal of attention was paid to the technological design, in order to guarantee the required indoor comfort standards for athletes and spectators. Four light-towers brighten the game field. The highly performing surface is synthetic, UV ray resistant and frost resistant. The double coloured shades of the fibres give back a very resembling appearance to that of a real grass surface, making the experience of playing even more significant.
