The project for the secondary school in Nimis completes the program for the school campus of the city. The exterior spaces have a special relation with the building that configures as a compact shape. The circulation spaces are conceived as hybrid zones, at times envisaged as gathering areas and other times as extra-curricular activities spaces. From an architectural point of view, the facades are designed to meet the building’s bioclimatic requirements with the use of overhangs and sun-shading structures that define a unique volume. An extremely modern building: the structure in X-LAM panels guarantees superior anti seismic performance, while the FV panels on the roofing ensure high energy-performance. Not just a school, but a space for the community.
