MDW 23-25
Fuorisalone has always been the ultimate testing ground for innovation: an ecosystem where design pushes beyond traditional boundaries to explore unprecedented, visionary solutions.
Since 2023, we have treated Fuorisalone as an applied laboratory. Our process involves selecting emerging technologies and transforming them into design tools that enhance efficiency and quality while reducing time and complexity. We analyze new software and solutions, evaluate their potential, and integrate them into concrete, replicable workflows. Over the last three years, we have deployed Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, and physical prototypes to interpret the urban landscape, design more consciously, and create immersive experiences.
With each edition, we’ve raised the bar: starting in 2023 with the exploration of AI image generation, we have evolved to arrive in 2025 with a micro-living prototype designed entirely within an AI environment.
Below is a brief overview of the projects presented in recent editions: “Laboratorio Futuro” (2023), “Materia Natura” (2024), and “Mondi Connessi” (2025).
2023 | Artificial Intuition for "Laboratorio Futuro"
In 2023, we established our first laboratory dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and computational design (Artificial Intuition) with a clear operational goal: to validate the integration of these tools into our design workflows. We experimented with generative pipelines, 2D-to-3D conversions that transform color into volume, point clouds to interpret context and movement, and text-to-image matrices for rapid iteration.
This resulted in an internal library of tools, presets and evaluation criteria that embeds AI into our workflow, multiplying creative alternatives while significantly reducing verification times.
2024 | Pulse for "Materia Natura"
In 2024, we presented PULSE, an ecosystem of installations exploring Artificial Intelligence applied to urban regeneration. Here, the generative model moves beyond simple analysis to create dynamic scenarios based on variables that evolve with every iteration.
The virtual city is shaped directly by user interactions, generating sustainable and inclusive solutions that adapt in real-time, effectively anticipating the future needs of the urban environment.
2025 | Mira for "Mondi Connessi"
In 2025, we present MIRA – Modular Intelligent Responsive Architecture, a modular and adaptive micro-architecture showcased at dOT Materica (San Marco Complex, Brera Design District). Crafted from steel and aluminum, MIRA is designed for immersive hospitality in both natural and urban settings. Every component is optimized through Artificial Intelligence and integrated into a plug-in logic that is expandable, lightweight, and sustainable.
Here, digital experimentation translates into a physical prototype: easy to assemble, replicable, and ready to scale.
Our story begins here
Beyond the technical specs, it is the living, sensory dimension that defines our Fuorisalone projects. We will explore this vision in our upcoming articles, breaking down the choices and tools that shaped MDW23, MDW24, and MDW25.
